Ian Perrotta

By Charles Sercombe

The recall election targeting Councilmember Ian Perrotta is one step closer to happening.
On Thursday – the day The Review went to press – the Wayne County Election Commission OK’d ballot language to recall Perrotta.
The recall effort is being spearheaded by Councilmember Mohammed Hassan.
Hassan now has to gather over 1,300 voter signatures to get an actual election to take place, which, if he is successful, would likely happen in February.
We’ll have more on this in next week’s issue.

    Thanks for the update, Chip!

This is a historic event for the City of Hamtramck.

The strange thing is the mayor’s silence on this and other charter revision proposals.

This is not going anywhere. Where is he going to get 1300 signatures? Better not be green card holders. 🙂
