With the help of the FBI, a 24-year-old man was arrested for two separate armed robberies in Hamtramck.
Michael Moore, of Troy, was arraigned on two charges of armed robbery and one charge of committing a felony with a gun in Hamtramck 31st District Court on Thursday (Feb. 16), according to a press release issued by the Hamtramck Police Department.
He was arrested on Feb. 13 by Clinton Twp. police when Moore went to a Clinton Twp. court for a matter not connected with the Hamtramck incident.
Moore’s bond was set at $100,000 and would require him to post $10,000 to be released from custody.
Moore is accused of robbing two businesses in Hamtramck: Snipes in December of 2022, and GameStop in January of 2023. Hamtramck police say there are no other suspects in the Hamtramck incidents.
Hamtramck detectives recovered a gun while conducting a search warrant of his residence, Hamtramck Police Chief Anne Moise said.
It was not immediately known how much money and property were taken in the alleged Hamtramck robberies.
Moore is also facing an armed robbery charge involving a GameStop in Clinton Twp. that allegedly occurred in January 2023.
Moore’s next court appearance in Hamtramck is on March 2.
